  1. Avoiding gluten need not be plain or unpleasant. Several nutritious and delectable foods, such as meats, fish, seafood, eggs, poultry, turkey, fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds, rice, potatoes, and corn, are naturally gluten-free.
  2. Your ability to reduce weight will not always be helped by the gluten-free diet.   3. While beer is gluten-free, wine and liquors are not. Even though distilled alcohol is made from gluten-containing grains, it does not contain any harmful gluten peptides.   5. Gluten-free does not equate to wheat-free. Even though a product is described as “wheat-free,” it may still include rye or barley, in which case it is not gluten-free.
